January 2006 Meeting

The next meeting of the Jacksonville Chapter of the FACDL will be a lunch meeting at the University Club on the Southbank. Arrangements are being made at this time. Further information will be posted as soon as it is available.

The annual election for our officers will take place at this meeting. Be sure to attend.

Trial Tips

If you have had success or seen someone have success with a particular trial strategy that you think members of the defense bar would benefit from, please share that information here.

Noteworthy Orders and Opinions

If you have learned of any court order or appellate opinion that you think members of the defense bar should be made aware of, please share the information about it here, and email a copy to kent@williamkent.com or fax a copy to 348-3124 and we will post it to the Blog.

Successful Defense Motions

If you have information about a successful defense motion, particularly if it involves the application of new law, precedent, rules, statute, etc. please post the information here. If you have a copy of a motion or order that you could share with the Blog, please email it to kent@williamkent.com or if you do not have a scanned copy to email, then please fax it to 348-3124 and we will scan it and upload it to the Blog.

Background Information on Witnesses

If you have information or are looking for information on particular prosecution witnesses, please put a notice to that effect here, with your full contact information. DO NOT POST THE INFORMATION ITSELF ON THIS BLOG PLEASE.

If you have information that would assist other practioners in the defense of sex offense cases, please post it here.

The Jacksonville Chapter of the FACDL announces the commencement of its new Blog Page as a convenient means for its members to share thoughts. Members are invited to post ideas, news and opinions to our page.

To post to the Blog, simply click on the "Comment" link below and a window will open allowing you to submit a comment. If you want to start a discussion on a particular topic, simply say so, and the posted comment will be emailed to the Blog editor, who will then take your post and start a new "Post" Heading from it, then new readers will see your post as a new topic and can comment on it.
